Teaching Philosophy

As a first-generation student, and now educator, I hold high-quality education in high regard. It is my belief that as a facilitator of students’ learning, it is my responsibility to develop a curriculum that promotes enduring learning experiences that benefit students’ personal and professional growth. It is my hope that doing so will help to build the next generation of leaders entering the workforce. Therefore, my teaching philosophy is rooted in three principles: foster a motivation to learn; cultivate a safe and inclusive learning environment; and apply meaningful learning material.

What Students Say

  • I really enjoyed Professor Domingo's teaching method. She manages to strike the perfect balance between theoretical and practical instruction. She is a professor who possesses extensive knowledge in her field and knows how to pique students' interest and hold their attention. In all the assignments we were given, I always felt like I was learning something valuable that will benefit me in the future.

  • Dr. Domingo’s class had LOTS of interactive lessons. I looked forward to her class every week. She’s also just a great lady in general, very approachable, accessible, and clearly invested in every single one of her student’s success. When we had a medical emergency in her class this semester, she sprang into action and handled the situation professionally and tactfully. 10/10 professor.

  • Best teacher I've ever had. Incorporated hands-on learning which made a lasting impression and made me want to attend every single 9am class. Always in a great mood and involved students every class in learning activities

  • Her lectures were engaging, and she would often relate the material to real–world scenarios. She always welcomed discussion and helped students bridge the gap of understanding. The activities she incorporated in class were very engaging and helped solidify what was being taught. Overall, it was just a very interesting and exciting experience.

  • Dr. Domingo truly made this the best class I have ever taken at LSU. She's engaging, she's always prepared, and she cares. She genuinely cares about her students and to me that makes all of the difference. The class was very well structured and made the course material interesting to learn. The use of randomly assigned groups also gave me friends outside of class and I am thankful for Dr. Domingo for that. Many teachers randomly assign groups and there is no accountability check. We had peer evaluations which I genuinely believe kept from group members not putting forth their best effort.

  • My experience in MGT 3620 (Organizational Behavior) with Dr. Domingo was extremely positive, and I feel fortunate to have been a part of her class. Dr. Domingo consistently prioritized student engagement by frequently posing thoughtful questions to the class, encouraging open dialogue and discussion. This approach created an inclusive environment where students felt comfortable participating and sharing their perspectives. The in–class activities were particularly impactful, allowing us to physically apply the concepts we were learning in a way that made the material more engaging, memorable, and fun. By organizing students into semester–long teams, Dr. Domingo also fostered a sense of connection and collaboration among classmates that might not have otherwise developed.

  • She made it very interesting to learn and took the time to get to know us. It never felt like she HAD to teach it felt like she WANTED to. More than that, she wanted to help us grow into great people. Truly the best professor I've ever had.

  • When you walked by the room you might just see a boring ole PowerPoint lecture, but with Professor Domingo it was way more than that. With the very funny and relatable examples and activities, it allowed me to understand the topics discussed in class in more depth. The activities were my favorite, it was like a game in itself to figure out what the lesson we were supposed to learn and also try to relate our textbook/lecture topics what we were doing, it was like finding out the why!

  • She made classes engaging with activities. She encouraged participation and made the students WANT to participate. She has excellent public speaking skills, and I was always focused and engaged

  • I love how Dr. Domingo made class so engaging. The activities and exercises she had prepared for us were fun. This is the first class where I was actually excited to come to class and had fun learning. I like that she put us in groups. This was very helpful because I didn’t feel alone in this class. I felt very comfortable having team members there for me to ask questions and complete complicated task with. Dr. Domingo is very relatable but also very smart and a great professor. She asked us questions that really made us think and this helped us learn better

  • Very personable and passionate. Made the class feel like one big group. One of the best professors I've had here at LSU. Her lectures were informative and properly paced, and our class exercises showed us how what we were learning translates to real life problems. Always available outside of class and was quick to respond to emails. Projects were actually helpful and not just busywork for points. I would recommend this professor to anyone taking management classes.
